Jihad Akl
At the age of 6, Jihad won an estimation prize in a musical recital from the occidental conservatory for the “Tournament of the Genius Kids”.
While pursuing intense classical music studies over a period of 12 years, at the age of 14 he joined the Lebanese Radio Station as the youngest ever radio station player in Lebanon.
He had the chance to play in the presence of musical giants which he impressed with his talent and music.
With a passion for solo playing as a means to channel his thoughts and emotions through a unique style of playing the violin, Jihad achieved great success and recognition.
Jihad's professional career took off to new levels with the creation of his own private band and the release of 4 records with the latest offering called “Shiraz, A Violin Affair”.
He performed live in many highly prestigious events around the world such as the yearly Egyptian Dar El Opera festivals from 2005 to 2010, Morocco festivals 2007 and 2010, Tunis festivals in 2007, Aghafi festivals Syria in 2008 and 2010, Abu Dhabi festival in 2008, Miss Europe ceremony, United Nations in New York, the Lebanese Presidential palace, The Arab Summit in Lebanon and many more.
